There was spooky feel to the weather yesterday here at Alder Bridge School.

The wind dropped and the sky went orange and red, as Sahara sands altered the spectrum of light in the sky, resulting in a haze of brown, orange and red light. As the sun turned a shade of orange, all was still and it felt a little as if there was going to be a solar eclipse.

The children made the most of the experience as they cleared leaves from the school grounds, playing hide and seek in the leaves.

It was a magical day - in a spooky kind of way!
